How do you define success? We discussed what success is in Enjoying the Highest Level of Success. However you may define success, the start of your success begins with a specific origin.
Did you know the batting average for an exceptional professional baseball player is somewhere in the mid 0.300’s? This means that even the greatest baseball players of all-time, struck out 70% of the times they stepped up to the plate. The reality is professional baseball players will strike out more times than they will hit a home run or get a base hit. They waste time fighting this fact, but rather it changes the way they approach the game of baseball. This is a common reality for baseball players. What are common realities of life?
The start of your success begins with understanding life’s common realities. Everyone’s reality is different, but there are some common realities for each of us.
4 Common Realities of Life
1. Everyone has a dream.
2. Everyone experiences difficult times.
3. Everyone is a leader.
4. Everyone needs hope.
You may be wondering about the significance of these realities. It is impossible to move forward in an attempt to be successful without recognizing these four common realities. Yes, there are other common realities, but an understanding of these four common realities will change the way you approach life and steer your life towards the success you desperately need. Here are three ways of steering success into your life.
1. Awareness. It is important to know where you are right now in life. Otherwise, you wouldn’t know where to start. These common realities aforementioned will help you with awareness. What are your dreams? What difficulties have you experienced? How are you leading? Do you have hope? These questions will provide you with a better perspective of where you are and what you need to do to get to where you are going.
2. Accountability. When you aware of these four common realities, if nothing else, it should make you more accountable. Although these are common realities, you can change how you go about responding to these realities. You should be more calculated and intentional with your actions knowing these common realities. Instead of resisting the fact that you are a leader and need hope, accept it and be the best leader you can be. Expect more of yourself. Remember, you will experience difficulties, but your awareness and accountability will allow you to approach your life’s situations with a better attitude and plan.
3. Abundance. Abundance isn’t limited to material gains, but it also has to do with productivity and efficiency with your life strategies. Do you have strategies in place to make your life successful? Success comes from having good habits. Not just one good habit, but having many good habits. Consequently, these good habits will position you to enjoy success in every aspect of your life.
Whether you know your purpose or not, life will never be easy. We will always have challenges to face. How will you face your life’s challenges? Start by assessing life’s four common realities, and then start to shape your success by being more aware, accountable, and abundant.
