MAYBE IT’S TIME TO CHANGE YOUR VIEW
/“Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be.” - John Wooden
If there is one thing you don’t want to fail at in life, it is failure to change. Wise leaders understand the world is ever changing.
I recently wrote a blog, Change Maximizes Your Success, discussing changing your attitude to obtain success. This is a big topic because it is the only thing that hinders the success of entrepreneurs, small businesses, or any other person looking to achieve a life goal.
So before we go any further, please ask yourself a question. What things are you willing to change in your life to be successful?
I’m not asking for you to change all your morals, values, or your spiritual principles because I believe some of those facets of your life are a great foundation for the many things you have achieved in your life. However, I am asking you to reassess every system you have in place and question whether it is a truth and if it is effective.
You will be surprised how many things we believe just because we passively grew up learning it that way. There are some thoughts, ideas, spiritual tendencies, and leadership philosophies we have engrained as truth, but it may not be a truth.
Every time I turn on the news, read a magazine, or speak to various leaders, I am discovering new truths. I think we would all agree that nothing in this life stays the same, other than God. My Lord is the only thing in my life I know will never change and doesn’t need any refining.
“I the Lord do not change” - Malachi 3:6
With that said, I have to constantly make sure I am positively changing my mindset and faith in God. I find myself growing and becoming a better leader the more I connect and draw near to the greatest leader (God) of all time.
I do believe there is no one like our God, which is why as leaders we have to trust in Him for guidance with our personal and professional decisions. I highly encourage you to consult with the consistent source of power, God.
If you are stressed, afraid, hesitant, or unaware of your next personal or business move, just connect to the source of all wisdom.
“Start with God - the first step in learning is bowing down to God.” - Proverbs 1:7
If you are in search for success, maybe it’s time to change your view of God. Don’t put Him in box. Don’t view Him as the One we only worship on Sunday’s. Don’t only pray to Him when times are bad. On the contrary, connect with Him frequently to really enjoy the blessings of this life. Your leadership will greatly benefit from it. Why? God is ________. You fill in the blank. God can be whatever you want and need, you just have to change your view of Him.
