AFFIRMATION FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP

AFFIRMATION FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP.001.jpeg

There are some who believe affirmations are unrealistic “wishful thinking.”  However, affirmations are proven strategic methods of self-improvement because of their ability to rewire the brain.

Before you dive into entrepreneurship, you should start with the article Self-Assessment for Entrepreneurship.  After you have assessed your heart, then you will need The Blueprint of Entrepreneurship.

Getting started is great, but you will need fuel along the way to help create momentum for your present and future success.  This is where affirmations will assist you.

Affirmation is defined as an action to assert oneself.  The thing I love about affirmations is that it takes action.  Action is important if you plan on achieving any goal.  As an entrepreneur, if you cannot help yourself, no one will.

In no specific order, here are some affirmations you need as an entrepreneur:

1.    I am driven by passion and purpose.

If you are starting a business to make a lot of money, you may want to reconsider starting.  What happens if you don’t make an abundance of money?  There’s nothing wrong with wanting to make money, but just make sure that you aren’t driven by money.  Be driven by passion and purpose to enjoy a more meaningful journey to success.  You will discover that you will make more money when you are driven by passion and purpose.

2.    I am a possibility thinker.

There is nothing worse than an entrepreneur that has limited thinking.  Part of what defines an entrepreneur is the ability to envision all possibilities.  There are no limits to what you can achieve when you believe all things are possible.

3.    My work makes a difference.

The reason why any entrepreneur starts their business is because they want to add value.  When we focus on increasing value by serving others, as a consequence we make a difference.  The reason why we consider the greatest leaders great is because of their ability to exponentially impact and make a difference in the lives of many.

4.    The success of my fellow entrepreneurs fuels me with energy and joy.

I believe who we are is a result of how we think, and that we attract those things that are constantly on our mind.   In other words, your happiness for other entrepreneurs will only push you to continue to do what you do.  It will also bring you further success because of your affinity for success.  This is also a way to develop mental toughness, which I described in 7 Ways to Develop Mental Toughness under the point of be happy for others.

5.    My success and failures do not define me.  They grow me.

I love the quote by American inventor and businessman Thomas Edison that said, “I haven’t failed.  I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”  You will find yourself stuck if you focus on your successes or failures.  However, you will grow if you choose to learn from both your successes and failures.  Choosing to learn from both you successes and failures not only will grow you, but also it will energize your entrepreneurship.

6.    Success and growth are inevitable outcomes of my work.

When you do things the right way, you will always have favorable outcomes.  After all the preparing and planning, every decision you make will be calculated and will profit you because of your intentionality.  The more you make intentional decisions, the more you will be able to control your outcomes.  Consistency is a big part of any entrepreneur’s success.

Please understand that affirmations do not replace hard work, proper work ethic, strategic planning, continued learning, and taking advantage of opportunities.  Affirmations are just added reinforcements to the foundation you have already created for your entrepreneurship.
