HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR SUCCESS
No one has intentions of being unsuccessful. However, sometimes the way we go about living isn’t conducive to being successful.
What would you like to be more successful with in your life?
If we want to be successful, we must do things that will align up with bringing success into our lives. Let’s talk about those things that will help you with alignment when it comes to being success.
1. Cultivate your mind.
All things start first with a thought or an idea. The greatest inventions and creations in our world’s history all started in the mind.
To achieve any level of success, we must prepare our minds by deepening our knowledge and sharpening our skillsets. The word cultivates means to promote, develop, or grow something. No matter where we are in our lives, we need to expand our minds in order to position ourselves for success.
I would agree with American Businesswoman Mary Kay Ash when she said, “Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.”
2. Find your all-star team.
It is hard to succeed at anything without the right people around you. You should surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed.
However, not only should you surround yourself with people who support your success, but also recruit people who can actually help you achieve you goals and aspirations. Be very careful of adding people to your team who are unsuccessful or people who will hate on your success.
American speaker and author Brian Tracy said, “Teamwork is so important that it is virtually impossible for you to reach the heights of your capabilities.”
3. Work your magic.
As I was writing this blog, I was discussing these points of being successful with my wife. When I mentioned this point to her, my oldest son overheard me and said, “I really like that one!” And I said, “I agree son.”
Magic can be defined in this blog as any extraordinary or powerful influence or effort. Here are the facts: 1) There is no one like you on this Earth and 2) Your gifts and abilities are remarkable.
Wouldn’t life be easy if work wasn’t necessary to be successful? Unfortunately the most successful are usually the hardest workers. They go the extra mile and do things that others won’t do. While others spending money, they are saving money. When others are watching reruns and marathon series, the most successful people are working on their goals and dreams.
American Director George Lucas knows little something about working hard. He is the creator of the Star Wars and Indian Jones franchises. He said, “Working hard is very important. You’re not going to get anywhere without working extremely hard.”
Again, I know no one wants to be unsuccessful. But a lack of success will become part of who you are without awareness and intentional action. There is no specific formula you apply to the successful. And there are no guarantees when it comes to achieving success. But when you see successful people and organizations, you will find these characteristics in any successful individual or company.
How are you positioning yourself for success? Please leave a comment below or email me directly to share your thoughts. I would love to hear from you.
